Born
in Beaufort, SC and graduated from Florida A&M University. He
did graduate work at City College, CCNY and New York University.
He relocated to New York City and has played with Melba Moore,
Blues in the Night, Della Resse and James Brown. Al Pazant has
been Band Leader of the Cotton Club All Stars since the reopening
of the Cotton Club in December 1977. His renditions are diverse
and exciting as he performs Fats Waller, The Big Band Era, the
Fabulous Fifties and Motown.

Born
in Savannah, GA. Attended Virginia State College. He was the Band
Leader with The Lionel Hampton Orchestra for eleven years and
also played with The Dells, Kool and the Gang and Roberta Flack.
He was inducted into the South East Coast Jazz Hall of Fame in
1994. Ed draws on his experience as the Cotton Club's Co-Band
Leader of the Cotton Club All Stars

with the greats - Luther Vandross, Idris Muhammed, Elvin Jones,
John Hicks, The Manhattans and many others. He currently has released
his own CD intitled "Sincerely" with Noriko Kamo and Jeff "Tain"
Watts.

Michael
is a versatile Performer/Educator. His early development began
with the highly competitive U.S. Army 266th band at Fort Hood,
Texas, that toured the southwest. This experience prepared him
to become an influence in the shaping of the sounds of mnay great
Rhythm and Blues Bands, which included touring and recording with
Motown/Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and Mary Wells. Others are James
Brown and Reuben Phillips, Director of the Apollo Theatre House
Band.

you have heard the "Bass Voice" in the Chilli's Baby Back Ribs
commercial or in the world-renown group, The Drifters. That is
the voice of Wolf Johnson. He was born in Mississippi, and is
the founder of the R & B group, Pure Elegance. He travels worldwide
with the legendary Cotton Club All Stars 7 piece Blues and Jazz
Band.

Stage Band and the Harlem Renaissance Band. Led his own group
throughout the city.

graduated from Berkley College of Music in 1982. His professional
experience includes playing with The Manhattans, Sting, DeAngelo,
Erica Badu, The Count Basie Orchestra, Art Blakey and the Jazz
Messengers and many more.

Born
in New York City and has been a freelance trombonist around the
city his entire life. His father is also a professional trombonist
who has been one of the top trombonists in New York for the last
thirty years. Brian is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School
of Music and has played with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, the
Duke Ellington Orchestra and for the Broadway show "Chicago".
He has also performed with Al Martino, Jerry Vale, the Jambalaya
Brass Band and the George Gee Orchestra. He has often performed
for various heads of state, including Vice President Al Gore,
Senator Hillary Clinton and the United Nations Secretary General
Kofi Annan.

Noriko
is a talented pianist from Japan and she performed in Tokyo for
ten years, her vocal style reminiscent of Billie Holiday. She
played with Art Blakey, who motivated her to move to New York
City in 1986. She has also played with Sahib Shiha, Roy Ayers,
Benny Powell, Frank Lacy, Dick Griffin, Stanley Jordan, Idris
Muhammed, the Manhattans and she appeared on the TV program "Reading
Rainbow" with The Bill Saxton Quartet.

Whitney
is a very recognized accomplished singer in the Jazz world. She
has performed on The Tonight Show and with Frank Sinatra, Clark
Terry at The Village Vanguard, Donny Hathaway and Louis Armstrong.
She plays piano and guitar and has a musical background of thirty
years.

in 1953 in St. Louis, Mo, he attended the University of Missouri,
and went on to play with Chico Hamilton from 1979 to 1983. He
has also played alongside Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine,
The Dells, Nancy Wilson, Billy Eckstine, James Spaulding, Sarah
Dash and Jack McDuff.

Tehrin
has led a very successful career for over 30 years. He has played
with Noel Pointer, Tania Maria, Bobbie Humphrey, and Phyllis Hyman.
His Broadway shows include "Dream Girls", "Mama, I Want to Sing",
"Little Shop of Horrors" and "Sophisticated Ladies". He has also
taught music in public and private institutions. He currently
holds the bass chair with Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers Band,
whenever he is available.
